Obituary of Hugh M Schnacky

Hugh Schnacky, 63, of Hudson, Florida, passed away on March 31, 2022. He is survived by his wife Sue Schnacky; his son, J Andrew Schnacky in Rochester NY; stepdaughter, Kristina Kimball; stepsons, Salvatore Cimbalo, Kevin Cimbalo, and step-grandson, Anderson Cimbalo; his uncle Paul Schnacky, and many cousins across the United States. He is predeceased by his mother Lois Belt Schnacky, and his father Robert F. Schnacky. Hugh was born in Rochester NY and moved to Florida in April 2009 to escape the cold snowy winters. He was most recently restoring a 1966 mustang until he was diagnosed with frontal temporal degeneration a form of early-onset dementia, in June 2019. His wife became his caregiver making sure he was as independent as possible. He traveled and did many things as able until the disease eventually made that impossible. Gulfside Hospice assisted in making his last few months very comfortable. He was able to pass away at home with his loving wife providing his care. A celebration of Hugh's life will be held on Thursday May 12th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the Harris Family Center, 560 Kings Hwy (located behind the funeral home).
