Obituary of Christine Dziuba
Christine Dziuba (Myers, Champagne)
Rochester: Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the age of 98. Pre-deceased by her husband, Peter, and siblings in Germany; survived by daughter, Mary (Thomas) Myers; granddaughter, Erika (Staff Sgt. Nicholas) Lavoie and family in Germany.
Christine was a WW2 survivor, fiercely independent and drove "forever". She was a proud US citizen, who voted in every election every year and valued her life in this country.
Christine's family and church were central to her life. Her endless hours and years of volunteering at St Josaphat's is legend. Christine ran the church kitchen and Festival Kitchen events for 18 years and the Sweets Booth after that until she was 90. She was proud that it was a pure profit booth at the Festival. Christine was THE hot dog lady at weekly bingo. With the St Anne's Society ladies Christine organized coffee and sweets after Liturgies for decades until Covid hit.
Other organizations: Ukrainian National Association, Zapozozka Sitch Secretary/Treasurer for decades, a regional coordinator and also had supported Peter in his leadership positions in ODWU.
We thank her St Josaphat's, Beatrice Place and 2North "family" for their friendship and support. We are grateful for the superlative care of the Rehab Unit and 2North of the Episcopal Church Home.
