Emily Elizabeth Morris

Rochester: Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at age 31. Predeceased by her grandmother, Mary G. Sandy and her aunt Deborah Morris. Emily is survived by her parents, Greg and Kathy Morris; brother, Jacob Morris; grandparents, Joe (Betty) Sandy, Erskin (Barbara) Morris; numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and dear friends, Emilie Fauchet and Heather Lubey.

Emily was devoted to those she loved & loved them fiercely. She was an elementary teacher who gave fully of herself to make a difference in each child's life. Teaching was her passion from an early age. She attended the U of R earning BA and MS degrees. She taught in RCSD, Spencerport, and Brockport, believing each child deserved literacy education at an early age for success. She was vocal about civil and human rights, loved travel and exposure to varied cultures, music, reading, snow, Christmas, Harry Potter, shoes and pumpkin spice. In such a short time she has impacted many lives and is so dearly missed.

Her family will receive friends Friday, July 15, 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to join the family Saturday, July 16, 11:00 am at St. Kateri at St. Margaret Mary Church for her funeral mass. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
