Obituary of Kathleen H. Parr
Parr, Kathleen H. of Irondequoit, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 7, 2022 surrounded by her family. Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Loretta (Scheuerman) Hursh and a sister, Rosemary Hoover and niece, Melissa Rae Parr. Kathy is survived by her daughters, Michelle (Jeff Woodruff) Parr and Amy (Thomas) Gillett, III. Grandchildren, Lillian Gillett, Aisha Siddiqi and Thomas Gillett IV. Dear niece, Niki (Jeff) Tomaka. brother-in-law, Bonnie (David) Parr and great niece, Taylor (Harley Frasier) Rissler. Several beloved nieces, nephews and their children.
Kathy worked as an IV specialist at Strong Hospital and devoted over 50 years as a nurse in the Rochester area. Kathy was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral and was always active in church functions and helping anyone in need. She loved to dance and listen to music. In her free time, Kathy enjoyed traveling and attending her grandchildrens sporting events, but most importantly she cherished the time she spent with her church family, daughters and her grandchildren that she adored.
Friends are invited for a memorial visitation at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.) on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 4 to 7PM. Friends are invited to Kathy's mass on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 9:30AM at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester, NY 14615. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to the Elephant Sanctuary, Po Box 393 Hohenwald, TN 38462 in Kathy's memory. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
