Obituary of Alice M. Wilson

Please share a memory of Alice to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Born March 7, 1925, died peacefully on July 21, 2022 at 97 years. Pre-deceased by husband Leslie E. Wilson and parents Charles and Janet (Hegarty) Riley. Survived by her children Glenn Wilson, Carol Alarie, Wendy (Don Fujino) Wilson and granddaughter, Alicia (Cullen McMahon) Alarie.

Alice grew up in rural Greece NY, graduated at 16 and met her future husband Les at a dance. During WWII Les fought in Europe while Alice moved to Tacoma WA with her parents. They married in Tacoma, settled in what is now Irondequoit Bay Park West, and later moved near Ridge and Culver. Alice was a devoted Wife and Mom who loved spending time with family, friends, and their beloved dogs and cats. She loved traveling, especially with her granddaughter during their summer vacations in CA. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, reading mysteries, shopping for bargains, sewing and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She loved regular get-togethers with school bus colleagues (she was a driver for over 30 years), Red Hatters, and TOPS. Alice was a lifelong learner who went to college in her 50’s and was also a tax preparer and bookkeeper.

So many sweet memories from a life well lived. We will forever miss you! Friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of Life for Alice  at the Harris Family Center (560 Kings Highway South) on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 2PM.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Lollypop Farm in Alice’s memory.
