I remember Irene and her parents. She was married to my uncle, Thomas Joseph Erwin, originally from Trafford, PA. I am his eldest niece by Edward and Florence Erwin. Irene taught me many things, and I enjoyed spending July of 1960 with them in Rochester. I got to visit the building of their future home in Fairport, as well. I still have the Monet bracelet she bought for me that summer. As I mentioned, I remember Irene's parents because they babysat me. I loved the dessert of berries and milk they gave me. Could someone tell me their names because, after 62 years, I don't remember? Love and condolences to all the family. Barbara Erwin Horch Arizona/California

On behalf of the family, thank you very much, Barbara, for reaching out and sharing that memory. Irene's parents' names were John and Petronella Klodzinski, though we all called her mother Patsy / Aunt Patsy. Both her parents had beautiful singing voices and were longtime members of Rochester's Ukrainian Community Choir. Her father was often the tenor soloist. Thank you again, Barbara, for your thoughts.

Irene was a vibrant & present soul in my life. She was always full of energy, had endless advise, and appreciated conversation. She was caring, exciting, and quite fashionable. She lived a full and happy life. She will be greatly missed in my family. I will see you again Irene! Be well lady. Love you forever.

Irene was a wonderful person who made my Dad Walter very happy and who was one of the best things to happen for him in his life for many years. He enjoyed making her laugh and took her flying many times in his plane. The Kennedy Family in Texas will miss her and wish her eternal happiness with Dad now that they are together again. Mrs Erwin was my third grade teacher at Pardee School in 1960. When we were moving to West Irondequoit in December 1960, she was so kind to me and my parents. When my Mom wanted me to go to the closing of our house, she was so supportive, and thought it was a great idea. Imagine I still remember that, after all these years. Thank you Mrs Erwin, and I remember that she was very pretty too, very sharp haircut!
