Obituary of Laura J. Mintz

On Sunday, January 29, 2023, Laura Mintz, loving mother of three children, died peacefully in her home at the age of 70. Laura was born on December 31, 1952 in Rochester, NY to Charles and Marie Mintz.

After graduating from Eastridge High School Laura went on to pursue a career as a nurse's aide. She worked at St. Ann's home for several years as a nurse's aide. Laura thrived at St. Ann's and loved taking care of the elderly. She always said she enjoyed elderly people more than young people.

Laura was preceded in death by her father, Charles who passed in 2010 and her brother, Kirk, who passed in 2014. She is survived by her three children, Eric Huck, Darlene Whittall, and Michele Huck, her sister, Christine, her brother, Brian, her 99 year old mother, Marie, and her four grandchildren, Megan Huck, Danny Whittall, Amelia Whittall, and Charles Whittall.

No funeral service will be held immediately; plans will be arranged for a small gathering in the Spring. She will be buried at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery next to her father and brother.

Laura will be missed for the kindness and compassion she showed to all.
