So sorry to hear about Carrol, When I was in high school I worked with both her and her husband John who
was the meat manger at Wegmans. The were both wonderful people and will be missed. God bless you and
your family, and I am so sorry for your loss.

I was so sorry to hear of Carrol’s passing. This is how I know Carrol: several (nearly 30?) years ago a beautiful cockatiel bird landed in my parents yard on meadowcroft road in irondequoit. When my dad opened the door the bird walked right in! After putting a ‘found’ add in the paper, ‘Louie’ was claimed and returned to Carrol and John. That began a friendship with them and my parents that Carrol continued even after my parents passed away by exchanging Christmas cards with me every year. The last one I received was in 2021 when she inserted the picture of herself with her sweet Ginger Rose.
I’ll miss her cards.
I’m so sorry for your loss.

Dear Arena family,
I was so saddened to learn Carrol had passed. I just learned last week of the severity of her health & was about to reach out to her. Then in Church yesterday they announced she had passed. As some of you know, I’m her neighbor down the street. We shared a common bond with our dogs. She so loved the animals. I was close to her & John for many years. I remember a wonderful dinner they both prepared when I remarried & they also invited several of our other neighbors. It was incredible! John was such a great cook/chef & when they whipped up their specialties every season, I got platefuls of goodies. Both were generous & kind, and Carrol always sending her cards for holidays and birthdays. So thoughtful. I’m so sorry for her passing. I will miss her but consider myself blessed to have had both your parents in my life. God bless you all.

Carrol loved to bring family together and spread joy wherever she was.
She never failed to send a card for an occasion or just because she was thinking of you.
I know she will be missed by so many.

I knew Carol from early years at Wegman's (1970-1980) and through her husband John whom I knew well at Wegman's. Saw her at friends gatherings and always loved to hear her talk of her family. Her person was so soft and loving you wanted to be around her. Hearing recently of her first stroke and then her decline was news not wanting to hear. Keep your memories close and think of them often. Gary Gell

I was so saddened to hear of Mrs. Arena's passing ( thank you Mary for calling me) ... she was always so kind and loving to me growing up and always included me as if I was part of the immediate Arena family. To Mary, Johhny, Marie, Patrick and Peter, your Mom will always hold a special place in my life ... our neighberhood was an awesome place to grow up and alot of that was because of your Mom. In recent years, we always kept in touch especially around the holidays ... may she rest in peace and please accept our heartfelt condolences from afar.
