Richard J. Ahlman

Irondequoit: Monday, March 27, 2023 at the age of 87. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sharon; children, Diane (George Smith) Ahlman, and John (Lizzy Smelt) Ahlman; grandchildren, Catherine (Nick) Morffy Smith, Marion (Taylor) Seabaugh, Jacob (Jennifer), Luke (Caitlin), Ana (Tripp) Ahlman, and Patrick Smelt; great grandson, Owen Richard Seabaugh; brother,    Ronald A. Ahlman; brother-in-law, Steve (Teri) Fogt.

Born in Chicago, moved to Rochester with the love of his life in 1960. An Engineer at Kodak for 35 years followed by a second career, caring for grandkids, and traveling the world with his bride. He loved sunny days, sailing across the bay, skiing his favorites, and just “being” with family and friends.

Calling hours will be held 3:00-4:00 PM, and a Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 PM Saturday, April 1st at Irondequoit United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Irondequoit United Church of Christ, 644 Titus Avenue, Rochester, NY 14617
