Gordon LaForce "Gordy"

Irondequoit: Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the age of 86. Pre-deceased by his wife Joan and brother-in-law, Bill Richardson. Gordy is survived by his daughters, Audrey (Stewart) Alexander, Jane (Steve) Lipinski, Kathy Indovina, Anna (Ron) LaForce; step children, Christopher (Darlene) Herbert, Gerald (Lisa) Herbert, Donna Herbert; siblings, Edward LaForce, Gertrude (Tom) Burse, Frances Richardson and numerous grandchildren.

Gordy was a volunteer fireman for 65 years with the Sea Breeze Volunteer Fire Department. As a young man in Virginia he worked on many farms. In his later years he took up woodworking. He had a large train collection and village that he referred to as "Gordyville." He leaves many family and friends.

His family will receive friends Thursday, April 6, 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Interment private. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 15 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Sea Breeze Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Sea Breeze Volunteer Fire Department, 4657 Culver Road, Rochester, NY 14622.
