Obituary of Joyce A. Pryor

Joyce Ann Pryor, 80, formerly of Rochester, NY, was called to her heavenly home on March 15, 2023. Joyce was born in Rochester, NY on February 2, 1943 to the late, Herman and Estella Gehring. She continued to reside in the Rochester area for 77 years until moving to New Bern, NC in 2020. Joyce graduated from St Agnes High School and retired from Eastman Kodak/ITT with 25 years of service in the Space Systems Division. Joyce enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Herman Gehring Jr., Carl Gehring and Clayton Gehring. She was also preceded in death by her long time partner Edwin Lyons. Joyce is survived by her children, Dawn Watson (Steven) of New Bern, NC, Paul Pryor of Coconut Creek, FL, Susan Goetz (Jeffrey) of Greenville, SC, and Matthew Pryor of Brockport, NY; and three grandchildren, Zachary, Sally, and Caleb Goetz.

Her family will receive friends Wednesday, July 12, 12:00 - 1:00 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery.
