Obituary of Karolis A. Druseikis

Karolis "Algis" "Al" Druseikis passed peacefully on Sunday April 16th with friends by his side.

Algis leaves relatives in Lithuania and friends in Rochester and Canada. A special note of thanks to Zofia Dutkiewicz and Henryka Povilaitis for their friendship and caring.

Algis, who was 91, will be remembered as a quiet, friendly, unassuming man with a positive outlook that was ready to help if needed.

Algis was born in Kaunas Lithuania and fled the country during WW2 when the Russians attacked in 1944 coming to USA/Rochester in 1949/1950 with his parents Petras and Julija, both deceased.

Al was a Veteran and served the US with the Army stationed in Alaska during the Korean War. Al worked at Friden Company and then at Kodak as a machinist/ toolmaker where he retired during Kodak's downsizing.

Algis was an active member of the Rochester Lithuanian Community and St. George Lithuanian Parish. Friends still remember him very well assisting at Friday night Bingo at St. George Parish.

A private viewing will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Wednesday, May 10th at 10:30am, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Interment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
