JoAnne C. Ashbaugh

Irondequoit: Wednesday, May 10, 2023 with her husband by her side. JoAnne is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 49 years, Donald; sons, Justin (Erin) and Gregory Ashbaugh; stepson, William Ashbaugh; grandchildren, Jack, Charles, Maya, Ally, Ryan, Leighton, Kyle, Bailey, and Beckham Ashbaugh; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Keith Sandman, Barbara (Ray) Dutcher, Richard (Mary) Thran, Cliff (Diane) Ashbaugh, Joyce (Al) Marciano, Dave (Laura) Ashbaugh, and Diane (Dave) Briggs; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her close lifelong friends. She is predeceased by her sister, Jane Bair; step son, Robert Ashbaugh; sister-in-law, Janet Ashbaugh.

JoAnne was loved by all who met her, and had a way about her that made all feel welcome. She loved deeply, and was deeply loved. She will be remembered for her thoughtful and caring ways, her patience and grace, her sense of humor and style, and her ability to make people feel like nothing else mattered when she was with them – she gave her time intentionally and without limits. JoAnne will be missed beyond measure, but forever celebrated as the devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother that she was.

The family invites people to gather on Friday, May 19 from 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends and family are also invited to meet on Saturday, May 20 at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Church (1130 Webster Rd.) for her memorial service. Interment Private.
