Eugene Kulyk of Tigard, Oregon and formerly of Rochester, NY passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.  Eugene was predeceased by his loving wife, Oksana Kulyk, his parents, Michael and Palagia Kulyk, and his brother, Zenon Kulyk. Eugene is survived by his children, Zenon Kulyk, Adriana (Robert) Ferrero, and Lila (Ben) Orencia; grandchildren, Zenon Kulyk, Kyle and Nick Ferrero, Evan and Cameron Orencia.

Eugene was born in Ukraine on June 12, 1932.  Eugene graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School and then attended the University of Buffalo where he received his bachelors in Civil engineering.  Eugene proudly served in the US Army from 1952 to 1960 during the Korean Conflict.  Eugene worked for Erdman Anthony for many years and then retired from the Monroe County dept. of Engineering.  In his free time, Eugene loved to sing, play and watch soccer, and was very active and always volunteering in the Ukranian Community, but he always cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

Friends are invited to join the family on Thursday, June 29 from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings HighwaySo.), Panachyda 6pm. Friends are invited to meet the family on Friday, June 30 at 10am at St. Josaphats Church for his Divine Liturgy.  Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to RocMaidan (www.rocmaidan.org) to help the victims of the war in Ukraine in Eugene’s memory. To share a memory or send the family a condolence, please visit www.harrisfuneralhome.com.
