Obituary of Wilfredo Sanchez

Sanchez, Wilfredo of Rochester, NY passed away on June 6, 2023 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.  Wilfredo was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Sanchez, son, David Lebron and his parents, Jesus and Agapita "Amalia" (Alequin) Sanchez, and several brothers and sisters. Wilfredo is survived by his children, Paul Lebron, Linda Lebron, Diane (Junior Garcia) Sanchez, Ann (Danny) Torres, Teresa (Landy) Torres, Fred (Cuqui) Sanchez, Anthony (Isa) Sanchez and daughter-in-law, Mickie Lebron.  Sisters, Maria "Maggie" (Tonio) LaTorre, Juanita (Juan) Guerrero.  Brothers, Celso (Blanca) Sanchez, Pedro Angel (Maribel) Sanchez.  30 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  Several nieces, nephews and cousins.  

Wilfredo was born on April 5, 1936 in Las Marias, Puerto Rico.  At the age of 17, Wilfredo traveled to the US with his grandfather and remained here to work and to start his family.  He married the love of his life, Mary on February 8, 1956 in Rochester, NY.  Wilfredo went to work at Xerox as a line inspector and retired after 32 years of dedicated services.  Wilfredo loved watching baseball, especially his beloved Yankees.  In his free time, Wilfredo loved going to church, singing, and working in his beautiful floral and vegetable gardens, but he always cherished the time he spent with his family.      

Friends are invited to join the family at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.), on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 4 to 7PM.  Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 10AM at the Harris Funeral Home.  Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
