Nadja Choroszylow

Irondequoit: Born August 16th, 1930 in the village of Popivka, Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. Nadja passed away Friday, July 7, 2023 at the age 92. Pre-deceased by her husband of nearly 70 years, Pawlo; her son, Ewan and her grandson, Adam. She is survived by her daughter, Nadja (Ed) Steve; grandchildren, Paul, Alexandra and Erin; daughter-in-law, Laurie.

Nadja was a founding member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church. She immigrated to this country with hopes and dreams of a good life with the love of her life, Pawlo. She made sacrifices working hard to ensure a better life for her children and grandchildren.

She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, an incredible cook and baker, who enjoyed life and being with her family.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday, July 11, 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Panachyda 6:30pm. Friends are invited to meet the family Wednesday, July 12, 11:00 am at St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church for her Divine Liturgy. Interment Webster Union Cemetery.
