There isn't a day that goes by when I don't think of you Uli. And I miss you so much Sweets! You had so many accomplishments in your life and have been such an inspiration to so many. More so than all of those accomplishments, there is a whole ton more to say about your character attributes, which were after all, the foundation of all of those amazing accomplishments. Your kindness, your perseverance amidst the worst of circumstances, your acceptance of others, your humbleness, your lovingkindness and just your forgiving attitude, should be all the inspiration to carry on your legacy. Your character attributes, which by the way, exceed so many others that we all know and love, will, for me, carry on for the rest of my life. And that will be the legacy I intend to radiate in my life; in absolute Honor of You! For that I am forever grateful to You! Until we meet again; All my Love to you Sweets!

Ulrike, I don't know how one person could touch so many lives in such a positive way. Everyone wanted to talk with you. We started talking about how differently we grew up. Shortly after we shared more personal stories. What I shared isn't important now, what you shared will last forever. We felt like brother and sister. I will miss you always as much as my biological family. Rest in Peace.

I took 3 years of German at RIT as an adult learner, most of it with Ulrike. She was a great teacher, very well organized and passionate about teaching. I was surprised and saddened to hear about her passing. I continue improving my German and was hoping to talk to her more in German. She will forever stay in my memory and heart. Uli was a truly lovely woman, radiating warmth and friendliness. Our paths often crossed in the hallways of RIT, and serendipitous encounters near Canandaigua Lake or in Rochester's parks. With just a glance, it was evident that Uli genuinely cared for the world; her kind smile had a unique quality that touched those around her.

I had the good fortune of taking 2 semesters of german classes from Dr. Stroszeck. I'm an adult learner, and she always made me feel welcome and provided me the opportunity to fully participate in class discussions and learning along with traditional students. Having a master's in education, I was constantly observant over the multiple methods of teaching she combined in one class to reach all types of learners. I particularly loved her up-beat manner, energy, and chuckle that she so naturally demonstrated when one of us would make a silly mistake in our best attempt to speak german. The chuckle was not a negative response but rather a carrying thought of "I know you know this." I really did enjoy her as a professor. I was so saddened to hear about her passing. My heart goes out to her two children, her sister, and other family members and close friends. She will stay in my memory and heart for a long time. Beth Tarduno

I have such beautiful memories of dear Uli. I was always in awe of her brilliance and beauty and quickly came to know that her greatest beauty was her loving and tender heart. We always shared faith and our desire to be good people. She cherished her family and was so proud of you, Ian, Una and Jutta!
