Obituary of Phillip L. Jones II

Phillip L. Jones II (known as P.J and Dungen) Born in Rochester, NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 8, 2023.  Phillip was predeceased by his father, Phillip Jones, I, grandparents, Eula George, Rufus George and Jerome Jones.  Uncle, Jerome Jones, II, aunt, Jerlyn Jones and best friend Rhian Smith.   Phillip is survived by his loving mother, Gloria J. Jones. Wife, Brittany Shaw and his children, Kylie Jones and Zyeaisha Jones.  Sister, Jennifer Jones-Anderson and brother-in-law, Antonio T. Anderson, Grandmother, Rose Jones.  Nephews, Jymeir Jones, Jyrese Jones and niece, Journey Jones-Anderson.  Aunt, Glenda Johnson and uncle’s, Gary George, Keith Jones, Leonard Jones and Michael Jones.  Step-children, Kyron and Kyrell Shaw and several cousins and numerous friends.

 After High School, Phillip started working on his music career writing and producing rap lyrics and songs.  In his free time, Dungen loved performing, and listening to a wide variety of Rap music but he always cherished the time spent with his family and friends.  
                            
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for PJ on Friday, October 20 from 10AM to 11AM at the Joy Community Church (890 N Goodman St, Rochester, NY 14609).  Pj's Funeral Service will begin at 11AM. A graveside service will be held immediately after at Riverside Cemetery.                     

The family ask that your attire be dressy or casual black attire (with a touch of green if you choose) for the service. No hoodies or teeshirts for service please.  Hoodies and sweatshirts will be available for purchase to wear at the repass. (Detail on options to buy will be announced soon).
