Obituary of Carole R. Olifiers

Carole Olifiers passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 21, 2023. She was 81 years old. Born and raised in Mount Vernon, NY, she was the cherished only child of the late Lena (Veneri) and Frederick Blauvelt. At the tender age of 15, Carole met the love of her life, Kevin. They married in 1963 and embarked on a life’s journey filled with love and adventure that centered upon their 4 beloved children, 7 grandchildren, and many, many friends.

Carole will be remembered for her big smile, vivacious personality, and warm heart. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many, forging lasting friendships that spanned generations. A devoted Mom, she raised 4 successful daughters and was the anchor of their world. She lived overseas in London, England and Geneva, Switzerland while maintaining a homebase for her family in Webster, NY.  She traveled extensively, making friends wherever she went. Carole enjoyed hosting gatherings and holidays, loved to play games, but her greatest enjoyment was found in the time spent surrounded by her family, especially by her grandchildren whom she adored above all else.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many, Carole will be dearly missed but will live on through the countless memories and enduring love she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Carole is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Kevin; daughters, Laura Olifiers, Linda (Joseph) Dioguardi, Susan (Kenneth) Osborn, Gail (Scott) Pittinaro; grandchildren, Rachael & Daniel Dioguardi, Morgan, Kelsey, Henry Osborn and Tyler & Chloe Pittinaro.

Her family will receive friends Wednesday, December 27, 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to join the family Thursday, December 28, 10:00 am at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church for her Funeral Mass. Interment private at White Haven Memorial Park.
