Obituary of Jean B. Haines

Webster – Jean passed to her eternal reward peacefully, Thursday, Dec 28, 2023 at age 88. Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Gordon. She is survived by her daughter Sherry (Dave) Pater of PA., her son David of VT., grandson Timothy Haines (Anne) of MI, grandson John Pater of PA. and granddaughter Sarah McLaren (Eric) of PA who blessed her with great grandchildren Trevor and Abigail.

Jean thoroughly enjoyed her work at Irondequoit Public Library for many years.

She enjoyed opera, reading and learning. She will be remembered for her empathy for others and ability to her love for deep insightful conversations.The family also is grateful for Jean’s wonderful care at The Maplewood both in Webster.

No prior calling. Friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service Saturday Jan 6 at 1:30 PM at the Rochester Christian Reformed Church 2750 Atlantic Ave. Penfield, N.Y. where Jean was a longtime member.
