Young, Mary Ann

Irondequoit, January 4, 2024, at the age of 91. Mary Ann is predeceased by her husband Walter Jr., her parents Joseph and Mary (Fitzgerald) Moffett, most special aunt Alice Moffett, siblings Jim (Helen) Moffett, Alice (Ed) Burkin, Frank (Pat) Moffett, parents-in-law Walter and Lucille Young, and numerous other relatives and friends. She is survived by her seven children, Steve (Kristin) Young, Paul (Maria) Young, Michelle (Ron) Kuhn, Chris (Dave) Perry, Dan (Terry) Young, Kelly (Bob) Ruster, Jim Young. She is also survived by Dave (Mary Ann) Young, Mary Anne (Bob) Hewitt, Mike Young (Becky), 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, hundreds of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins, and many dear friends.

Mary Ann was a special woman, devoting her life to being a wonderful wife, raising a happy bunch of children, and being everyone's favorite aunt, friend or neighbor. A cheery hello to everyone she passed, she could coax a smile from anyone.

Very special thanks to nurse/caregiver Donna Soles, the Pillar Medical team, the devoted staff at St. Ann's nursing home and Chapel Oaks, as well as the amazing hospice staff who cared for Mary Ann at the end.

No prior visitation. Friends are invited to celebrate Mary Ann's life Wednesday, January 10, 12:30 p.m., at the Chapel at St. Ann's, 1500 Portland Avenue, Rochester, NY 14621.
