Obituary of Rosemary M. Maracle

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the age of 98. Pre-deceased
by her husband, John; son, Francis; brother, Arthur. Survived by her children, Christopher, Anne
(Ernest) Lascell, Mary Lou (Craig) Wilson, Susan (James) Calvert, Stephen (Denise) Maracle;
grandchildren Mary (Tom) Kanaley, Matthew (Jennifer) and Elizabeth Calvert, Daniel (Karen) and
Mark Lascell, Timothy (Genna) and Peter Wilson, Michelle and Allen Maracle; and 10 great-grand-
children.

Rosemary was a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy High School (class of ‘43) and Nazareth College
(class of ‘47). She was a music teacher in Irondequoit and Rochester public and parochial schools,
and the Hochstein School. A long-time parishioner of St. Salome’s Church, she belonged to the
Women’s Club, School Board and Parish Council, and served as assistant organist for the parish for
many years.

Rosemary sang with the Alpha Chords and Treble Clefs Choruses. Faith, Family and Friends were
her main interests and always— music!

Friends are invited to join the family at Paul W. Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Highway South)
on Monday, January 15 from 4-7 pm. Rosemary’s funeral Mass will be at St Ann’s Home Chapel on
Tuesday, January 16 at 11:30 am. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery.
