Friday, February 9, 2024 at the age of 87. Predeceased by his parents, Raymond Margaret. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Maryann; daughters, Catherine Mendel and Elizabeth Mendel; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond (Rosalie) Citeroni, Rose (Bob McBride) Bicksler, John Citeroni, and Barbara (Mike) Custer; several nieces and nephews; his beloved dogs, Snoopy and Charlie.

John attended the University of Washington for his undergraduate degree and Boston College for his masters. He worked at Eastman Kodak Co. as a Senior Unit Director with his specialty in Nano Technologies. As a lifelong student, after retirement, John taught Chemistry at Nazareth University and St. John Fisher University for over 15 years. He dedicated his time to helping young students pursue education in Chemistry. John was a member of the Rochester Section of the American Chemical Society for over 40 years. He also was a longtime parishioner and volunteer of the Catholic Church.

His family will receive friends Wednesday, February 14, 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Thursday, February 15, 9:30am at Sacred Heart Cathedral for his Funeral Mass. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
