We were very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Our condolences to all his family, friends, and fellow firefighters. Bill was one of the nicest and kindest people you could ever meet. He was so friendly and whenever you encountered him, he always asked about you and your family. He was an accomplished firefighter and EMT. Living in close proximity to him, we were always comfortable in knowing he would be one of the first people on the scene in an emergency. Rest with the angels, Bill. You will be missed. I remember when Bill and Tom Viera and another St. Paul Blvd. Firefighter won FIREFIGHTER OF THE YEAR from FASNY. I remember how every member was so proud of this honor and celebrated their honor with them. Bill was always humble. Most of all I was honored to serve on medic group call with Bill and Phil Senise. I was a probie. I had served 10 years with Clarendon, but not at EMT level. Both were so patient and never left me stuck. I learned so much. Sharonlee and Bill were family. I am so thankful I was a part of this man's life. Many others can say the same. We will all miss Bill. very much.
