I just learned of this from Irene! Truly breaks my heart to hear this. Mike and Irene were some of my favorite customers that I like to think became friends. I fixed the chimney and steps at their house and would stop by every year to say hi and eat some Ukrainian Easter food! Their chimney is actually the biggest concrete cap I ever poured so I’ve always remembered it. Mike was an awesome man and a gentle soul. Every time I drove down Titus I would beep and think of them. He always talked about doing work at the cabin. Special prayers right now for Mike and his family.

Teta Irka, Marko & Chrystia... Tato (Nestor) and Teta Lida; I'm still in shock after the news of your Husband, Tato and Brother... my Vujko Mikey. I'm very proud to have been named after such a great person. Just hearing the way he spoke was always interesting to me. His voice was so unique and the way he said things like "come on" or forever calling me a "banyak" (that means favorite nephew in Ukrainian) always made me smile and chuckle. The contents of the stories too... the details, made it sound like they happened to him just yesterday. Usually followed by roaring laughter. Vujko Mikey, you were loved and will be dearly missed. Dear Irene, Nestor and Family, Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for the monumental loss of your beloved husband ,father, brother and uncle. I will always remember a young Michael setting off to British Columbia and California with Jerry my brother in law, in Matt’s dark green MGB convertible. Mike enjoyed spending time with his loving wife Irene, his beautiful children ,son Marko and daughter Chrystia. Mike always made time for all his friends. Our sincere condolences to Irene, Chrystia, Mark, Nestor, Lydia and families. Mike was a dear friend with whom I had many good times. The highlight of our adventures was a road trip in an MGB to California, via Vancouver in 1972. He was my right hand man in Plast when we travelled to the Rockies in British Columbia.
