Obituary of Ursula Hunte

Ursula (Uschi) Hunte, 90, died peacefully on March 22, 2024 with family present. She was predeceased by Frederick, her loving husband of 54 years and her sister Lilo Kiefaber. She is survived by her five children Martin (Lynn) Hunte, Thomas, Robert, Ron (Meryl) and Judy (Dan) Meacham. Also survived by her eleven grandchildren, Laura (Jason), Lisa (Andrew), Brian (Melissa), Sarah (Jay), Diana (Kyle), Ari, Jenna, Noah, Zac, Matt, Nate, and eight great grandchildren, Indiana, Eden, Wesley, Brock, Hailey, Haven, Teagan, Tyler, and one on the way in September.

Ursula was born in Insterburg, East Prussia (Germany). Eleven years later, WWII forced her to flee her hometown. She spent the next years in a refugee camp in Denmark. In 1953 she married Fred, immigrated to America, raised a family and made many life long friends.

Family meant everything to our Mutti, Omi and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed and fondly cherished in our memories.

Ursula's Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024 11:00 AM at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Interment to follow at Irondequoit Cemetery.
