Natalia Babiuk

Obituary of Natalia Babiuk

In loving memory of Natalia Babiuk, who leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. Wife of late Mykola Babiuk, she is survived by her devoted daughter, Christina (Jake Czechowicz), her son Greg (Tania), and her cherished granddaughters Victoria and Veronica. Natalia's embrace extended far beyond her immediate family to include a circle of beloved Babiuk family members, including her daughter-in-law Tania, niece Julie (Kevin Flaherty), nephew Andrew (Monica), cousin Myron (Ulana), Asha (Greg Stubbs), dear friends, and cherished acquaintances both near and far.  She joins in eternity those who have gone before her: Babiuk family members Myron John, Orest, June and Nadia.

Natalia's life was a testament to her deep-rooted Ukrainian heritage and unwavering commitment to the Ukrainian American community in Rochester. She was a vibrant member of St. Josephat’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. For five decades, she stood as a proud member of the Ukrainian Women’s League of America (UNWLA). Natalia’s innate sociability, love for nature, and passion for volunteering at Rochester General Hospital, brought joy and brightened the days of all who knew her.

In honor of Natalia's memory, memorial contributions may be directed to organizations close to her heart: the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America (UNWLA), RocMaidan, or St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian Catholic Church.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.) on Wednesday, May 29, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, with a Panachyda service at 6:30 pm. A final farewell will be held on Thursday, May 30, with Panachyda at 10:00 am followed by her Divine Liturgy at St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, and interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
