Obituary of Vincent James Marinaro

Vincent James Marinaro of Irondequoit, NY born March 29, 1942, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2024. Vinnie is survived by his devoted wife and best friend of  60 years, Carol. His four precious daughters, Laurie (Alex) Bus, Lisa (David) Fischer, Jean (Terry) Triest and forever baby girl Michele Marinaro. Sisters, Jo- Anne (Russell) Long, Susan Rinaldi, Mary (Pat) Verellen. grandchildren, Ashley (Paul) Morgan, Amber (Anthony) Clericuzio, Connor (Francesca)Triest. Great grandchildren, Tallulah and PJ Morgan and soon to be third great grandchild arriving June 3rd. Beloved caregivers, Donte Sapp and Hope Dukie. Several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Ross & Connie Marinaro, in-laws Henry & Minnie Casella, sister & brother in-law Connie & Rich Ludwig, brother-in-law Vincent Rinaldi, brother Ross Marinaro and dear friend Ciro Colletta.

Vince owned gas stations, towing and auto repair shops. He loved being in his tow truck. He was always involved in community and charitable work.  He was the president of Lakeshore Kiwanis and Saints & Sinners. He was Santa for the Irondequoit Community Band. He also enjoyed entertaining and having many parties and picnics.

Vince has been bedridden at home for the last 16 years; he lived a happy productive life enjoying family and friends.

His family was the center of his world. He loved them more than anything and they were his top priority. To honor Vince’s request, in lieu of flowers or donations, pay it forward by giving to someone deserving or in need in the same fashion as he has done for so many others.

His family will receive friends Thursday, May 30, 3-6pm. Prayer services immediately following at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway S.). Interment Private.
