Irondequoit: at the age of 75, Walter was received into the arms of the Lord on Monday, June 3, 2024 at home surrounded by his family, after valiantly battling health issues over several years. He was born in Salzburg, Austria on June 21, 1948. Walter is pre-deceased by his parents, Wasyl and Rosalia Rabarsky; he is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Lesia; children, Matthew (Larissa) and Alexandra Rabarsky; grandson, Roman Rabarsky; brother, Bohdan Rabarsky; brother-in-law, Bohdan (Christine) Balko and niece, Larysa (Peter) Drobenko and nephew, Nicholas Balko and great niece, Kathryn Drobenko and great nephew Daniel Drobenko.

He proudly served in the United States Army defending his country in Vietnam. In 1980, Walter married the love of his life, Lesia and together had their two children who he loved and adored.

He was a member and 10 year Trustee of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of Epiphany, member of SUM, ODFFU and UCCR.

He enjoyed playing Volleyball especially with the "Green Machine" in Rochester, fly fishing, golfing and spending time with his family and friends.

His family will receive friends Thursday, June 6, 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Panachyda 6:30pm. Friends are invited to meet the family Friday, June 7, 10:00 am at St. Josaphats Ukrainian Catholic Church for his Divine Liturgy. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ukrainian Cultural Center, 1040 Jackson Rd. Webster, NY 14580 or SUM Tabir "Cholodnyj Yar".
