Richard C. Race "Rick"

Irondequoit: Rick was born July 30th, 1946 and passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the age of 77. Predeceased by his parents, Louise and Louis Race; brother, Robert; sister, Carolyn (John) Gianuzzi; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lucy and John DePasquale. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marilyn; children, Richard (Kara) Race, Todd (Colleen) Race, Lisa (Marco) Romero, and Craig (Andrea) Race; grandchildren, Abbey, Ethan, Skylar, Zachary, Lucia, Isabel, Emma,

Tyler & Kylee; sisters and brother- in-law, Joanne (Dan) Richards, Joseph (Nancy) DePasquale and Joan Race.

Rick was a US Army Veteran. He graduated from the FBI National Academy and retired after 28 years from the Irondequoit Police Dept, serving as Lieutenant.

His family will receive friends Wednesday, July 17, 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Thursday, July 18, 10:00 am at St. Kateri at St. Margaret Mary Church for his Funeral Mass. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
