Obituary of Jean A. (Didonna) White

Irondequoit- Passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2024 at the age of 94. She is predeceased by Anthony DiDonna (Father) Frances DiDonna (Mother), Mary Frances DiDonna (Sister), Donald E. White (Husband).  She is survived by John White (Son), Diane White (daughter) and Adam Bonacci (sp), Donna White (Daughter) and Geoffrey Gatza (sp), Nicholas Dostal (Grandson) and Sophia Bonacci (Granddaughter).  Jean was born in Brooklyn, New York to Anthony DiDonna and Frances DiDonna who emigrated from Italy to the US through Ellis Island, New York.  She attended Mt. Carmel Elementary School and graduated from East High School where she excelled in Art.  After graduation, Jean worked at various banks including Genesee Valley Trust.  During the holidays, Jean also worked at Sibley’s Department Store.  She married her husband Donald in 1959, and they had 3 beautiful children, settling in Irondequoit, New York. Jean loved the Arts and excelled at Ballroom Dancing and Fine Arts.  Her love for the Arts encouraged her children to explore the Arts, with her daughter Donna pursuing a degree in Fine Arts, her son John, pursuing a degree in Photography, her granddaughter Sophia becoming a Champion Irish Dancer, and her nephew Nicholas pursuing an Acting and Directing career.  Jean loved her family, and took great pride in being a Mother and Grandmother, supporting all of them throughout her life. 

A Celebration of Life Mass for Jean will be held on July 29, 2024 at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Church, with a short reception immediately following the Mass.
