Bera, my deepest sympathy to you and your beautiful family. She loved you all so much. I know I will miss her as well. Miriam and I shared so many memories together and we laughed a lot. I will never forget her smile, her joy, our trip to Canada, dancing at our children's weddings, lunches on Sundays after church. Thoughts of her dance through my mind like notes of a happy song. I am saddened to learn of Miriam's passing. We were colleagues as teachers, and later, as school principals, we became friends. She introduced me to Thai food, and I think of her every time I pass Pattaya in Penfield, which she would always choose when we met for lunch. Miriam was a warm and caring person, fun to be with, and full of stories about her daughters, their career pursuits, and their families. She openly shared her faith and maintained a positive attitude in the face of her health struggles. She will be missed and lovingly remembered. With deepest sympathy, Denise Rainey

It saddens me to hear of the loss of this beautiful and kind spirit. Yet, I’m confident that her faithfulness to the Lord, and her generosity towards others, will be rewarded. Yes, the two of us held it down as 2nd Floor Administrators at Freddie Thomas Learning Center. We were guided by our shared belief that a child’s zip code should not dictate their capacity to achieve and grow. She was a warrior, and even as she was “going through,” she always had that beautiful smile, and a word of encouragement. Our community was a better place because she lived, loved, and gave us her best. David and I extend our deepest condolences to her beloved family. I can attest to the love and pride she had for you!
