I had the honor and privilege to sing with and for Joe in the choir he directed at St. Mary of Celle Church in Berwyn from 2003-2005 and to be at an organ concert he gave at Holy Name Cathedral during that period as part of a series intended inter alia to showcase the talents of organists working in the archdiocese. He was serious about both his faith and his music, but didn’t take himself too seriously. Nor did he treat his work as merely a solipsistic exercise. He is missed. Here is a photo of him warming up the choir on a Sunday morning before April of 2004. The second is after the re-dedication of the main organ at Holy Name Cathedral on October 17, 2010. Milly, Jimmy, All family members, Prayers, Love, and Strength Remembering Joey as one who would do anything for someone. Great times on Lincoln St., train trip to New York City. So sorry for your loss Milly, Jimmy, and family. Remembering all the good times we all had together on Lincoln St. How no one locked their doors back then and we would just walk into each other’s houses, all the fun we had in the pool ,how Joey would hide behind the bushes and try to scare me at night, so many great and funny memories. Joey will be missed by many, along with his beautiful music. Praying God’s comfort and peace for all of you in the days head. Rest in peace Joey.
