Petrow, Charles
Rochester. Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the age of 92. Pre-deceased by his parents Michael and Stella Petrow, brother, Frank Petrow, sisters, Anne Stryker and Paula Kowalski, niece, Donna Petrow, brothers-in-law, Robert Stryker and Eugene Kowalski. Mr. Petrow is survived by his nieces, Sandra(Edward) Martin, Sharon(Greg) Scirelli and Debi(Peter Amico) Stryker, nephews, Gary(Sue) Kowalski, Richard(Sandra) Stryker and Robert Kowalski, 4 grand nieces and 4 great grand nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Dorothy Petrow and Ruth Stryker. Charlie was an Army veteran of WWII, stationed at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. After retiring from Moregood Tools as a tool and die maker, Charlie Spent his retirement years in San Diego before returning to Rochester.
His family will receive friends Sunday 3-6pm at the funeral home. (Panachyda 4:30pm). Family and friends are invited to attend his Divine Liturgy Monday 10:00am at St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In memory of Charlie, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Association, Rochester Chapter, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620.
