Obituary of Margaret T. Kantar

We are heartbroken at the loss of our mother, Margaret T. Kantar. She was born in Rochester, NY on August 17, 1934 and went Home to God on November 30, 2024 after a brief illness.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Maurice and Frances Thomas, late husband Pasqual "Patsy" Acciari, late husband Raymond Kantar and her sisters Jane (Bill) Robinson and Mary (Gene) Crandall. She is survived by her brother John (Jean) Thomas, her children Thomas (Suzie Roumpapas) Acciari, Kathryn Acciari, Scott (Jen) Kantar, Matthew Kantar, David (Tami) Acciari, her grandchildren Mitch (Masha) Kantar, Moriah Kantar, Christopher Sutter, Owen Acciari, Genevieve Acciari and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Margaret was a consumate homemaker - excellent cook, seamstress, knitter, gardener and style icon. She embraced motherhood wholeheartedly. As rambunctious children, we could never get anything past her, she could hear everything and the eyes in the back of her head were ALWAYS working.

Her grace, kindness and beautiful laugh were shared with all without reserve. She always considered others' happiness before her own and accepted all without question. She will be sorely missed.......

Family and friends are invited to Margaret's Gathering on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM at Harris Funeral Home, 570 Kings Highway So., Rochester. Service to follow there at 4:00 PM.
Interment private. Spring 2025.
