Obituary of Sebastian Gangemi Jr

Greece -Sunday, December 22, 2024 at the age of 90. Sebastian is predeceased by his parents, Sebastiano and Marianna Gangemi; siblings, Katherine (Jospeh) Pavone, Josephine (Stanley) Leone, Santina (Joseph) Gangemi, Michelina Gangemi, Michael (Lillian) Gangemi, Thomas (Nancy) Gangemi, Venerando (Geraldine) Gangemi; first wife, Carol (DeFranco) Gangemi-Loce; second wife: Joanne (Malone) Gangemi: stepson Joseph (Robin) Malone. He is survived by his daughters, Marianna (Patrick Morris) Elliotte, Carolynn (Patrick Russi) O'Connell and Kathleen (David) Robertson; step daughter, Stacy (John) Cortese; grandchildren, Stephen (Jennifer Smithers) Meteyer, Timothy Meteyer, Catherine (Seamus Flynn) Elliotte, Nicole (Joshua Rodriguez) O'Connell, Terry James (Amity Engleson) O'Connell, Kristyn (Nick Barbera) Robertson, Michael (Alana) Robertson; great granddaughter, Sophia Rodriguez; step- grandchildren, Samantha (Phil) Vanlenti, John Cortese, Alysse Malone, Nicole Malone and Alexis Malone along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

We would like to acknowledge and thank our cousins, Sebastian (Sibby) and Louis Gangemi for taking care of our father, whether it be those daily phone calls, numerous visits or just fixing the wheels on his walker. He loved them as if they were his own sons, and they were always there for him. Our deep & heartfelt gratitude is yours, Sibby & Lou. Thank You

 Friends are invited to meet the family Friday, December 27, 2024, 10:00 am at St. Kateri At Christ The King Church for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Sebastian's name can be directed to Epilepsy Foundation or The University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Philip Profetta.
