Norma and I were friends since elementary school, through our years at Durand Eastman School, Brownies, Girl Scouts and Ben Franklin High School. I have moved and moved around the country, but we kept in contact all these years. Whenever I got back to Rochester, we would get together, and it was like I never left. We were able to pick up where we left off, and conversation was easy.
She was a lifelong friend, and will be greatly missed. May faith help to heal those she leaves behind, and hopefully time will help to heal the sorrow felt.

Our prayers are with you. We know too well the experience of loss and share in your sadness. At the same time, we pray that the love of Christ and the confidence of eternal life for Norma and all of us who remain will comfort you and your family, now and until we see her again.

We learned today of Norma's passing......I sit here and the tears run down my cheeks....because our husbands knew each other from Durand Eastman School and grew up together....I met Jerry when I was fourteen years old at the Sea Breeze Roller Rink......I met Norma when our husbands worked for Rochester Telephone Company and they lived in Pt. Pleasant and we lived on Sea Cliffe Drive.....we shared the ups and downs of RTC and lives of our children growing up.
We renewed our friendship through the years...but mostly after we moved out here in Williamson and they moved into their lovely home in West Irondequoit. Sometimes she and Jerry would ride his motorcyle out here for a visit and so often we share time together for dinner out or at their home or ours.
Norma was always a very special friend to me...............we sometimes take for granted that our friends will always live and we'll get together again soon......but I won't see her again.....at least in this world...and my heart is so heavy right now. I just want her family to know how much I loved her and how lucky I was to have known her.
