McGuire, Frank J. Lauderdale By the Sea, Fla. Friday, January 14, 2011 at age 78. Mr. McGuire is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Kay (Duncan) McGuire; father of Tim (Marlene), Mike (Kathy), Pat (Editza), Kathy Krueger (Duane), Dan (Sandy) and Maggie DiFabio (Lou); grandfather of 19;great grandfather of 8. Brother of Margaret Kershner and Dale Hanley, both of Pa.. Graduate of East High School and RIT, Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps., President of Hi-Tech Power and Control Inc, (formerly MADAC Corp); Frank was an entrepreneur, a businessman and an inventor; Independent, Creative and Ingenious. Frank and his wife Kay were avid bicyclists. They have ridden their tandem bike in 49 of the 50 states. He was Past President of the Rochester Bicycling Club and the Genesee Valley Cycling Club; former coach of the Empire State Games cycling team and has travelled the country competing and touring. He was a runner and cross country skier. A teacher, coach and mentor for his family and any others who hinted at the desire to know more about the sports and subjects he knew and loved. A resident of Rochester, N.Y. until moving to Lauderdale By The Sea, Fla. in 2005. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. His family will receive friends Thursday 4-7 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family Friday 10:30am at Sacred Heart Cathedral for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
