(W.Irondequoit): Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the age of 83. Ruth is predeceased by her sisters and brother, Emma Fullwood, Lois Phillips, and Carl Becker; brother-in-law, Wilfred Shepler. Mrs. Blakley is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Merlin Blakley; children, Robert (Julie) Blakley, Patricia (Daniel Cordaro) Blakley, Barbara (Jeffrey) Nardoci; grandchildren, John (Clarissa) Blakley, Benjamin (Sandi) Blakley, Patrick Corey, Christopher Corey, Jason (Martha Jones) Heberger, Lindsay (Timothy Crumb) Heberger, Aaron Heberger, Michael and Matthew Nardoci; and great grandchildren, Gabriella, Jonathan, Josiah, Harper Blakley; brother, Harry Becker of Hornell; sister-in-law, Arlene Shepler. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and will be missed by all. Member of NCT Genesee Valley Chapter, Lutheran Church of Resurrection. Avid in crafts, gardening, reading, cooking, and traveling. Ruth was a 50 year member of the OES, where she served as District Deputy and Grand Matron. Her family will receive friends WEDNESDAY 3:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South), where her funeral service will be held THURSDAY 11:00 AM. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery. To honor Ruth, an 11 year pancreatic cancer survivor, memorials may be directed to Lipson Cancer Center At Rochester General Hospital, 1299 Portland Avenue, Rochester, NY 14621.
