Obituary of Betty J. Short

(Irondequoit): Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at age 90. Predeceased by her husband, Clifford R. Short. Mrs. Short is survived by her children, Laurel E. (Thomas) Hauss, Holly B. (Douglas) Landers, Marcey S. Stevenson, Clifford H. (Janet) Short, and Beth G. (Joseph) Gallo; grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Jennifer, Maire, Carrie, Heather, Gwenn, Sara, Clifford, Jaclyn, and Nicholas; 17 great grandchildren. Betty was a volunteer at the Irondequoit Senior Center and Ruth Circle at Durand United Church of Christ. She was involved with the reunion committee for the class of 1939 for Franklin High School. Her family will receive friends THURSDAY 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family FRIDAY 10:00 am at DURAND UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST for her memorial service. Inurnment Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Chime Fund at Durand United Church of Christ 4225 Culver Road Rochester, NY 14622 and Irondequoit Senior Center.
