Obituary of Mary J. Seigel

Deaton-Seigel, Mary J. Irondequoit. July 1, 2011. Peacefully with family and childhood friend, Celine by her side. Predeceased by her first husband Reg, her son Paul and sister Ann. Survived by her loving husband, Seymour; her son Wesley Deaton; brothers, Ben Mac An Tuile (Maeve), Terry Flood (Diane); Grandaughter, Lauren; nieces, Danielle Huertas (Mel) and Karina Murphy (fianc Brian) in the US and her many nieces and nephews in Ireland and the UK. Mary was a Lady in every sense of the word. She loved the opera while we played rock n' roll. When burdened with life's trials, she repainted the kitchen which went through all the colors of the rainbow. She devoted her early years to the care of her son Paul who needed care 24/7 for over 30 years. For this alone, she is our heroine. We love you Mary and miss you so much! You were taken from us much too soon. Your loving husband, Sy would have given anything to take your place. May you rest in peace. Her family will receive friends TUESDAY 4:00 - 7:00PM at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family WEDNESDAY 9:30AM at HOLY CROSS CHURCH for her memorial mass. Interment Private.
