Obituary of Michael K. Bergen

(Irondequoit): Passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2011. Michael was fortunate to have 2 families that loved him dearly. He is predeceased by his mother, Bernice S. Hurysz. Mr. Bergen is survived by his brother, Raymond (Rebecca) Hurysz, sister, Bernice Hurysz; son, Ryan (Christine) Birtel; grandchildren, Oona & Rowan Birtel; loving friend, Nancy Birtel Bergen. Also predeceased by his father, Kenneth Bergen. Survived by his mother, Dee (Ralph) Zannoni; sisters, Connie (Dave) Lubberts, Caroline (Eric) Mezzoprete, Sheila Bergen; brother, Joseph Bergen; caring friend, William Schneeberger; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the team at LifeTime Care Hospice. The family also wishes to thank Michelle, Paula, Elana, and Lisa, from Health Care at its Finest, for their special care. His family will receive friends SUNDAY 2-6 PM at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South), where his funeral service will be held MONDAY 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a Hospice or cancer treatment center of choice.
