Obituary of Elmer E. Smathers

Irondequoit: Saturday, July 23, 2011. Pre-deceased by his first wife Evelyn V. and son Dale E. Smathers, Sr., siblings; Virginia Valentine, Helen & Donald Smathers; Mr. Smathers is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy, children: Elaine (Robert) Evans, Thomas (Gayle) Smathers, daughter-in-law: Angela Smathers, grandchildren: Brooke (James) Evans Coyne, Tracie Evans, Shannon Evans, Shane Evans, Matthew (Rachel) Smathers, Nicole (Joe) Compton, Dale E. Smathers, Jr., twins: Amanda & Samantha & Dustin Smathers ,greatgrandchildren: Conner, Tristan & Skyler Smathers, Brenna Francisco, step children: Sharynne (Steve) Burns & Debra Wood, also many nieces and nephews; in-laws: Molly (Luke)Parisi & family, Leslie Smathers & family, Margaret Hartnett. Elmer was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all. A special "Thank You" to the staff@ 6800 unit at R G H and staff at St. John's home 2nd floor, South. His family will receive friends TUESDAY 4:00 - 8:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South), where his memorial service will be held WEDNESDAY 10:00 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
