Obituary of John A. LiPari

"Big Papa," "Our Hero," "Our Pal" (Irondequoit): Peacefully at the age of 85, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Predeceased by his loving wife, Edith; mother and father, George and Sadie; brother Joseph. Mr. LiPari is survived by his sons, John (Sharyn) & Anthony (Julie); grandchildren, John III (Doreen), Trisha, Marissa (Jason), Anthony, & Nicholas; great grandchildren, Phillip, Emma, Sadie, Hanna, & Alanna; sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and Sam DiSalvo; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of St. John's on the 2nd floor of the Hastings building for their kindness, care and attention. John was a WWII US Navy Veteran and served 23 years in the Rochester Police Department. His family will receive friends THURSDAY 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family FRIDAY 10:00 AM at ST. PAULS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, Hard Road, Webster for his Memorial Mass. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Judes Children Hospital and St. John's Home. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
