IRONDEQUOIT: Thursday, August 11, 2011 AT THE AGE OF 89. Pre-deceased by her husband, Walter; Mrs. Schankat is survived by her son, Brian (Karen) Schankat and grandchild, Sarah; Emily enjoyed reading, collecting figurines, cooking, being with her family and also enjoyed volunteering with friends and relatives at Monroe Community Hospital.
Her family will receive friends WEDNESDAY 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family THURSDAY 10:00 AM at ST. MARGARET MARY CHURCH for her Memorial Mass. Entombment, Irondequoit Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be mad to a charity of your choice in her memory.
