Obituary of Richard E Zicari

Zicari, Richard E Irondequoit: After a courageous 7 year battle with cancer, Dick entered into rest at home on August 17, 2011 at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, June, sons, Zev and Steven (Tina) Zicari, granddaughter, Isabel, sister, Anne Zicari-Lopez, brother, Charles (Gwen) Zicari, and many nieces and nephews and friends. Dick graduated from Charlotte High School class of 1954, was a U.S. Army veteran, Rochester Institute of Technology alumnus and retired from CUNA Mutual Insurance Company. He was an avid skier, an instructor at Bristol Mountain, longtime member of the Monroe Y Ski Club and member of many other organizations including the Northstar Sportsman Club, Early Ford V8 Club, Knights of Columbus and served on the Irondequoit Historical Society and Preservation Commission. His family will receive friends Monday 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home. Friends are invited to meet the family Tuesday 9:30am at Holy Cross Church for his funeral mass. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Lifetime Care Hospice, 3111 Winton Road S., Rochester, NY 14623 or HCR Home Care, 85 Metro Park, Rochester, NY 14623.
