Ihrig, Robert K.
Irondequoit, July 10, 1935 - February 12, 2009 Pre-deceased by his parents, George J. Ihrig Sr., and Mabel Knowlton Ihrig, his sister Marion Harrington, his brother George J. Ihrig, Jr., nephews Wayne Michael (Mike) Harrington and Douglas Ihrig, niece Tracie Ihrig Chrissley. Mr. Ihrig is survived by his sister, Virginia G Ihrig, sister-in-law Margarete Ihrig , niece Deborah(Louis) Ottnod nephew Peter Harrington and niece-in-law Jacqueline Harrington great nephews Christopher and Eric Ottnod ,Michael and Jacob Harrington ,Kevin Ihrig, Morgan and Garret Chrissley ,grand niece Alyssa Chrissley and great grand nephew Alex Ottnod and great grand niece Reyna Ottnod. Bob graduated from the University of Rochester and received his Masters Degree in Library Science from Columbia University. He retired from the Rochester Public Library after 40 years of service. His great passion was books and the importance of libraries in our society. His other love was the St. Lawrence River where he was able to spend many years at his summer home.
Service and interment were held at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may make donations in his memory to Rundel Library Foundation, 115 South Ave. Rochester, N.Y. 14604 or River Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 567 Alexandria Bay, N.Y. 13607
