Obituary of Maureen A. Madonia

Madonia, Maureen A. Irondequoit: Passed away peacefully from leukemia Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the age of 67. Maureen is survived by her husband, Joseph M. Madonia, children, Derek(Julie) Madonia and Karis(Thomas) Hanna, 8 grandchildren, sister, Margaret Mary(John) Heuges, brother, William(Cecilia) Bees, sister-in-law, Denise Bees and many nieces and nephews. Maureen was born in Sharon, PA. and was a graduate of Mercyhurst College 1967. She taught intermediate education in the Rochester City School District and the Diocese of Rochester. Maureen and Joe would like to thank Dr. John Phelan, MD, Dorothy Chilton N.P and the nurses and staff at the Lipson Cancer Center and Rochester General Hospital, Suite 5500. Her family will receive friends Sunday 1:00 - 5:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family Monday 10:00am at Blessed Kateri at St. Thomas the Apostle Church for her funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
