This is very late, but I just found this today, June 25,2012. I'm so sorry to learn of Uncle Leo's death although I hadn't heard from him in several years. My Christmas cards were returned. I have many happy memories of visits with Uncle Leo and Aunt Clare and we shared a love of dogs. He liked to tease me about my little Maltese and always said I should get a 'real dog'. My thoughts and prayers are with you. He was blessed to have you in his life, Diane.

Too many great memories of "Uncle Leo" to list since I grew up living across the street from him in Huntington Hills. He was a person wonderful and had a great influence in the lives of all the children who grew up on our street ... me included. His great laugh could be heard throughout the neighborhood. Bill was my age, so we went through school together. He was a great person, too, as was Clare. Again, way too many fond memories of everyone in that wonderful family. Though I never met Bill's widow and his children (wish I had, but I live many states away), I'm sure they are all as wonderful as the rest of that family was. My sincerest sympathy goes out to Diane and the kids.

Please accept my condolences to the family. I am not sure anyone remembers, but we, the Kelly's, were next door neighbors. My father, Ed Kelly, was the first one to build a home way back behind the barn on Wisner Road. Doc Pfeiffer had a great vegetable garden, especially tomatoes. As a young boy I was recruited to help Mr Pfeiffer haul horse manure from the barn to fertilize his garden. He did this every year. Thankfully I only had to do this a few times. But we would always watch him drive his tractor down the driveway to the barn and back. I think my father wanted to me to help Doc because periodically my father would also tell us kids(there are 7 of us) to go over to Doc Pfeiffer's garden and "borrow" a couple of tomatoes. My dad loved his tomatoes and always raived about Doc Pfeiffer's.

I'm so sorry about Dr. Pfeiffer. I just adored him. He was my orthodontist-and my younger brother's. He always called me Laurel. He would toot the carhorn hello as my friend Judy and I would wait for the bus to school. He was always so encouraging about my hard work with my teeth and my life, etc. He was good with the parents, too. I could tell that when I first met him. We checked out several doctors but he was the nicest and gentle with those tools. I could ride my bike or walk home. I did go back to say hi in the early 80s, in college. I hope to come today. Love to all his family and former patients.
