Krywonos, Oleksij "Alex" "Mr. Komo" Webster: Peacefully surrounded by his wife and sons on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the age of 78. Predeceased by his parents, Kondrat and Anna Krywonos, sisters, Anastasia Minenko and Raisa Fedoriw. Oleksij is survived by Kathy, his loving wife of 49 years; sons, Matthew(Alphonsa) Krywonos and Olexander(Jenness) Krywonos; granddaughter, Aksara; brother, Very Reverened Mykola Krywonos; sister in law, Anna Turczak; brother in law, Stephen Granchi; many nieces, nephews and other family in the U.S, Canada, India and Ukraine. Oleksij was an active member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church & Choir. He was a toolmaker at Xerox Corp, retiring in 1995. His passion for helping people combined with his creativity working with stainless steel, resulted in the founding of KOMO Extensions in 1986. He designed and built pedal extentions enabling short statured people the ability to operate motorized vehicles. He will be remembered forever by "little people" all over the world. Oleksij was a wonderful man, loving God, his family and friends, and will be dearly missed by all. His family will receive friends Monday 4:00 - 8:00pm at the funeral home, Panachyda 7pm. Friends are invited to meet the family Tuesday 10:00am at St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church for his Divine Liturgy. Interment Webster Union Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 3176 St. Paul Blvd., Rochester, NY 14617.
